Liguria promotes year-round tourism and regional culture
The Liguria region is actively promoting its year-round tourism potential through international trade fairs and local cultural initiatives. At the IFTM Top Resa in Paris, the Liguria Region and the Municipality of Genoa presented the ‘Liguria Outdoor 365’ model. This initiative highlights the region's ability to offer diverse outdoor experiences—ranging from trekking and mountain biking to sailing and snorkeling—across both coastal and Alpine landscapes throughout all seasons.
Tourism is a strategic pillar for the regional economy, generating approximately 6 billion euros in added value and representing over 11% of the regional economy. To further support local identity and year-round visitation, the region has allocated approximately 600,000 euros to fund 206 events across Liguria. These events, which include traditional festivals and leisure activities, aim to showcase local history, culture, and typical products in various provinces, including Genoa, La Spezia, and Savona.
