Data from the Camera di Commercio Riviere di Liguria regarding the second quarter of 2026 shows positive business growth in the provinces of Imperia and La Spezia, with both regions outperforming national, Ligurian, and North-Western Italian growth averages.

In Imperia, the province recorded 24,245 registered businesses as of June 30, 2026. The net balance between new registrations and cessations was +146. While new openings decreased compared to the same period in 2025, the growth rate of +0.60% exceeded the national average of +0.56%. Positive variations were noted in services, construction, industry, and agriculture, while commerce saw a slight contraction.

In La Spezia, the province recorded 20,266 registered businesses as of June 30, 2026. The net balance was +150 businesses, representing a growth rate of +0.74%, which also surpassed the national and regional averages. Growth was observed in industry, construction, commerce, and services, though the agricultural sector experienced a decline.
