Liguria’s Dolcedo restaurant Casa della Rocca and historic Cogorno village showcase local heritage

In the Val Prino of Dolcedo, the 17th‑century Casa della Rocca, once an olive mill, now operates as a charm restaurant. It highlights the region’s Taggiasca extra‑virgin olive oil, serving dishes that blend sea and mountain flavours, from fresh seafood and homemade pasta to high‑hydration pizzas topped with local ingredients such as purple shrimp and stracciatella.

Further inland, the medieval town of Cogorno in the Tigullio area offers a glimpse of Ligurian history. Dominated by the Basilica of the Fieschi family and the Slate‑stone architecture, visitors can explore the Centro Museale dei Fieschi, walk historic paths, and taste local olive oil and typical Ligurian cuisine. Both sites promote sustainable tourism and preserve the cultural landscape of western Liguria.
