Lil Durk acquitted in federal murder-for-hire trial
Chicago rapper Lil Durk has been acquitted of all five charges in a federal murder-for-hire trial in Los Angeles. Prosecutors had alleged that Durk financed a 2022 shooting targeting rapper Quando Rondo in retaliation for the 2020 killing of King Von. While Rondo survived the attack, his cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, was killed.
Despite the acquittal, Durk faces ongoing legal challenges. He is the subject of a civil wrongful death lawsuit filed by Andrea Robinson, the mother of Saviay’a Robinson. Additionally, Durk remains in custody to face separate racketeering and murder charges in a trial scheduled to begin on October 5.
Following the verdict, rapper and producer 50 Cent publicly praised Durk’s attorney, Drew Findling. Findling, who has represented various high-profile hip-hop figures, is the subject of 50 Cent’s upcoming scripted drama, ‘Billion Dollar Lawyer’.
