Lil Durk acquitted in federal murder-for-hire trial
Rapper Lil Durk, legally known as Durk Banks, was acquitted of all five federal counts in a murder-for-hire trial on September 11, 2026. The case involved an August 2022 ambush at a Los Angeles gas station targeting rapper Quando Rondo. While the jury found Durk not guilty, he remains in federal custody following his arrest in Miami in October 2024.
A bond hearing is scheduled for November 4, 2026, before U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald. Additionally, a separate racketeering case involving violent crimes in aid of racketeering (VICAR) charges has been rescheduled from October 2026 to August 30, 2027, at the request of the defense.
Meanwhile, OTF Jam, a former member of Only The Family who testified against Durk during the trial, continues to express tension with the rapper via social media while remaining incarcerated. Jam had previously served as a key witness, accusing Durk of orchestrating crimes, including the killing of Saviay’a ‘Lul Pab’ Robinson.
