Lil Durk acquitted of all charges in federal murder-for-hire trial

A federal jury in Los Angeles has acquitted rapper Lil Durk, born Durk Banks, on all five charges in a high-profile murder-for-hire case. The charges included conspiracy to commit stalking and murder-for-hire resulting in death. The case centered on a 2022 shooting in Los Angeles that targeted rapper Quando Rondo, which resulted in the death of Saviay’a Robinson.

Prosecutors argued that Banks orchestrated the attack as retaliation for the 2020 killing of his associate, King Von. However, the defense, led by attorneys Drew Findling and Brian Steel, successfully challenged the credibility of cooperating witnesses. Following the verdict, Banks expressed gratitude to his supporters and legal team on social media.

Despite the acquittal, Banks remains in federal custody. He is scheduled to face a separate trial on October 5 involving racketeering, murder, and firearms charges related to the 2022 shooting death of Stephon Mack.
