Lil Wayne and Lil Yachty's racehorse wins Grade 1 Bing Crosby Stakes
The four‑year‑old gelding Listenupshance, co‑owned by rappers Lil Wayne and Lil Yachty through the celebrity‑backed platform Run Fast Racing, captured its first Grade 1 victory at the Bing Crosby Stakes at Del Mar in late July. Ridden by jockey Emisael Jaramillo and trained by Doug O’Neill, the horse edged out Maximum Bourbon by a nose to claim a $400,000 purse and a paid entry into the 2026 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland in October.
Listenupshance was originally purchased for $10,000 at the Fasig‑Tipton Yearling Sale and was intended to be dropped in class and sold. Instead, the over‑filled target race gave the horse a chance to shine, earning $438,570 in career earnings and boosting the profile of Run Fast Racing, which also includes partners such as singer Rauw Alejandro and entrepreneur Adam Kluger.
