Lil Wayne names Anita Baker as top wedding performer choice

Rapper Lil Wayne has identified his preferred musical performers for his upcoming wedding. During an appearance on ‘The Joint Venture Show’ on October 7, the Young Money founder stated that his first choice to sing at his ceremony would be R&B legend Anita Baker.

Wayne noted that he would not want to pressure Baker, mentioning he heard she might be tired of performing. As alternatives, he named R&B artists Keith Sweat and Babyface. Regarding the specific song selection, Wayne indicated he would leave that decision to his bride.

The comments follow Wayne’s recent confirmation of his engagement to Madison “Madi” Cannon. He introduced Cannon as his fiancée in a video message in late September while congratulating fellow Hot Boys member B. G. on his own engagement.
