Lil Win announces Nollywood collaboration for new Ghana film

Ghanaian actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win, has announced a new international film project titled ‘A Journey to Africa (Nzulezu)’. The production, under his Weezy Empire banner, aims to further bridge the Kumawood and Nollywood film industries.

A group of prominent Nigerian actors, including Kanayo O. Kanayo, Patience Ozokwor, Mike Ezuruonye, Zubby Michael, and Destiny Etiko, are scheduled to arrive in Ghana on September 30, 2026, to begin filming. The project is set in Nzulezu, a unique stilt village located in Ghana’s Western Region.

This follows the success of Lil Win’s 2024 crossover film, ‘A Country Called Ghana’, which featured Nigerian stars and received international recognition. The new production is intended to highlight Ghanaian landmarks while appealing to a broader African audience.
