Dong Nai police debunk fake reports of students being transported to Cambodian border

Dong Nai City Police have confirmed that reports circulating on social media regarding fake buses impersonating the Toan Thang transport brand to kidnap students and transport them to the Cambodian border are entirely fabricated.

The hoax originated from a student at Lilama 2 International Technology College. The individual admitted to inventing the story to convince their family to allow them to use a personal motorbike for commuting instead of taking the bus.

Following the initial report, the college issued an emergency warning to students and staff, which contributed to the rapid spread of the misinformation on Facebook. The school's vice principal noted that the internal notice was issued in an attempt to raise vigilance before official police verification had taken place.

Toan Thang Transport Company clarified that they are not involved in the incident but noted that fraudulent websites and vehicles frequently impersonate their brand. The company urged passengers to verify official contact numbers and vehicle identification marks to avoid being misled by unauthorized operators.
