Lili Pink challenges DIAN over report amid smuggling investigation

Legal representatives for the company Lili Pink have formally requested clarifications from the National Directorate of Taxes and Customs (DIAN) regarding a 2024 report. The defense argues that the report, sent to the Prosecutor's Office, certified an absence of irregularities in the company's commercial operations, creating a contradiction with the current investigation.

The Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating allegations of smuggling and money laundering. As part of the proceedings, authorities have moved forward with asset forfeiture processes. This includes precautionary measures on 38 properties in Bogotá and Cundinamarca valued at approximately $379,873 million pesos. Additionally, 46 properties, including rural and urban sites, were intervened in an operation valued at over $184,000 million pesos.

Defense attorney Andrés Jiménez stated that some of the seized properties have no connection to Lili Pink and were acquired before the brand existed. While authorities claim the assets are linked to illicit enrichment and smuggling, the legal team maintains that the current measures do not definitively establish responsibility.
