Lili Reinhart to star in ‘The Love Hypothesis’ film adaptation

The film adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s popular novel, ‘The Love Hypothesis’, is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on September 23, 2026. Directed by Claire Scanlon, the romance-comedy stars Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman as two scientists who enter into a fake relationship.

The plot follows Olive, a PhD candidate, who enters a fake dating arrangement with Adam Carlsen, a feared professor, to prove she has moved on from a former crush. The story explores academic power dynamics and the challenges faced by women in scientific fields.

During the film's press tour in Brazil, Lili Reinhart drew fashion attention by wearing a butter-yellow silk dress. The outfit was a tribute to Kate Hudson’s iconic gown from the 2003 film ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’, specifically a Caché brand piece inspired by the original Carolina Herrera design.
