Lille confirms Bruno Génésio will leave as head coach

Lille OSC announced that head coach Bruno Génésio will depart at the end of the 2025‑2026 season when his contract expires. The club and president Olivier Letang thanked him for his work, noting his decision not to renew the two‑year deal he signed in 2024.

During his two seasons, Génésio guided Lille to a third‑place finish in Ligue 1, securing direct qualification for the UEFA Champions League. The team recorded memorable victories over Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid and earned a draw against Juventus in European competition. His tenure also saw several Belgian players earn international recognition.

The club will begin a new chapter without Génésio, who may seek opportunities elsewhere.
