Lillestrøm battles to retain star player Felix Vá

Lillestrøm SK is working to secure a new contract for striker Felix Vá following his standout performance in a 3-2 victory against Brann. Vá, who has recorded 15 goal involvements this season, scored twice during the match at Åråsen to help secure the win.

Despite the team's success on the pitch, uncertainty surrounds Vá's future. Club captain Ruben Gabrielsen expressed doubt regarding whether the player will remain with the club after his current contract expires, suggesting that Vá's talent may attract interest from other teams. While Vá has stated he has not yet made a decision, Lillestrøm's sporting director, Espen Olsen, confirmed the club is making intensive efforts to extend his stay.

The victory keeps Lillestrøm in contention for a European qualification spot, though the team likely needs to win at least four of their remaining six matches to secure a top-four finish in the Eliteserien.
