Lilly and UOL launch videocast to combat obesity stigma
Lilly and UOL have launched ‘Pod Sem Estigma’, a weekly videocast hosted by journalist Izabella Camargo aimed at discussing obesity and combating the stigma and misinformation surrounding the chronic condition.
The program seeks to connect scientific evidence with real-life experiences to address misconceptions that often link obesity to a lack of willpower or discipline. Fabiana Cyrulnik, medical director of obesity at Lilly do Brasil, stated that while science has advanced, many still view the complex condition as merely a matter of individual choice.
Weekly episodes will cover topics such as mental health, nutrition, physical activity, and self-care. Participants for the season include communicator Silvia Popovic, influencer Boo Unzueta, and actress Luana Xavier, who will join specialists to share their perspectives and journeys.
