LILT Caserta launches hair donation initiative for oncology patients

The Italian League for the Fight against Tumors (LILT) provincial association in Caserta has launched a hair donation initiative to create wigs for oncology patients. This service is part of the ‘Sentirsi belle’ (Feeling Beautiful) program, which aims to improve the quality of life for patients, their families, and caregivers.

Launched during the Pink Ribbon campaign for breast cancer prevention, the initiative addresses hair loss caused by anti-tumor therapies. In addition to hair collection, the LILT Caserta headquarters offers various support services, including dermatological visits, nutritional guidance, psycho-oncological counseling, and aesthetic consultations. The program also provides legal and social assistance to help patients navigate administrative requirements related to their illness and access regional funds for wig purchases.
