Lily Allen apologizes to Edith Bowman for 2006 MySpace comments

Singer Lily Allen has issued a public apology to Scottish radio and TV presenter Edith Bowman for comments made in a 2006 MySpace post. During an interview with Perfect Magazine, Allen stated that she called Bowman a ‘trollop’ for ‘absolutely no f***ing reason’ and identified Bowman as the one person she would choose to apologize to if given the chance.

The original social media post occurred during the early stages of Allen's career. In it, she criticized Bowman for her radio commentary regarding bands and musical preferences. Bowman previously recounted a face-to-face confrontation with Allen at the T in the Park festival, noting that Allen had expressed regret at the time, admitting she was the type of person who ‘speaks before I think’.
