Lim Chan-kyu secures 15th win and wins leader title at Jamsil

LG Twins pitcher Lim Chan-kyu secured his first career wins leader title, recording his 15th victory of the season during the team’s final regular-season home game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. In a matchup against the Doosan Bears, Lim pitched five innings, allowing five runs while striking out five, to help LG secure a 7-5 victory.

The win ensures LG Twins a minimum fourth-place finish in the standings, while Doosan Bears conclude the regular season in fifth place. For Lim, the game held significant personal meaning as it marked his final regular-season appearance at Jamsil, a stadium he has been associated with for 16 years since his youth.

Lim finished the season with a record of 15 wins and 7 losses and an ERA of 4.44. Following the game, he expressed gratitude toward his teammates and coaching staff, noting that the emotional weight of the farewell match helped him maintain his performance despite recent physical fatigue.
