Lima and Ciudad Juárez announce major public service and security operations
The Municipality of Lima has announced a security and operational plan for the Señor de los Milagros procession scheduled for Saturday, October 3. Officials expect at least 200,000 attendees for the event, which will run from noon until 8:00 PM. The operation includes the deployment of 1,000 municipal workers and the use of 18 drones for aerial surveillance. To prevent the loss of individuals, a mobile tent will follow the procession to assist those who become separated. Medical support will be provided by nine ambulances from the Ministry of Health, Samu, Sisol, and the Volunteer Firefighters Corps.
In Mexico, municipal and federal governments are launching the ‘Atención a las Causas’ program in the La Enramada neighborhood of northern Ciudad Juárez. The initiative includes a week of various services, such as mobile medical units, pet vaccinations, legal advice, and workshops for youth. The main community event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, in Praderas del Cedro Blanco, providing residents with access to human rights services, civil protection, and urban development information.
