Lima Book Fair 2026 unveils new titles on capitalism, education

The International Book Fair of Lima runs from 22 July to 6 August 2026 at the Centro de Exposiciones del Jockey in Santiago de Surco. Publisher La Siniestra Ensayos (LSE) used the event to present several new works. Anthropologist Pablo Sandoval López highlighted Danilo Martuccelli’s essay “El secreto (diabólico) del capitalismo”, which examines how capitalism shapes desires and everyday life. He also introduced Patricia Oliart’s volume “¿Educación para los pobres? Política, género y democracia en el Perú”, exploring the role of schools in the country’s social crisis. The releases were displayed at stand 107 of La Indie and stand 49 of Ediciones MYL, with a later presentation at Librería Sur pending announcement.
