Lima Duarte celebrates 96th birthday and shares personal election day tradition

Brazilian actor Lima Duarte, celebrating his 96th birthday, shared a personal tradition regarding election days. Despite living on a farm in Indaiatuba, he maintains his voter registration in São Paulo to visit the neighborhood of Freguesia do Ó during elections. He uses these visits to go to the house where his mother, América Martins, passed away.

In addition to his personal reflections on aging and memory, Duarte is set to appear more frequently on TV Globo as the network begins re-airing the classic telenovela ‘Roque Santeiro’, in which he played the iconic character Sinhozinho Malta.
