Lima hosts Batman Day 2026 celebrations

Lima will host Batman Day Perú 2026 on September 19 and 20 to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the character. Organized by the Batman Fans Perú Club and led by founder Víctor Felipe Sandoval, the free event will take place at Casona Manya. Activities include comic book exhibitions, talks, contests, film screenings, and cosplay.

As part of the festivities, the Bat-Signal will be projected onto one of Lima's tallest buildings, and Lima Metro Line 1 will feature Batman branding.

In conjunction with the global celebration, new comic book releases are scheduled for September, including free titles such as ‘Batman Day 2026: Batman Flip Book’ and ‘Batman of Two Worlds’. Other notable releases include ‘Batman/Wonder Woman: Veritas’ and various facsimile editions of classic stories like ‘The Killing Joke’ and ‘Year One’.
