Lima International Book Fair 2026 moves to new venue and welcomes Ecuador as guest of honor

The 30th International Book Fair of Lima (FIL) 2026 has shifted from the Parque de los Próceres to the larger Centro de Exposiciones Jockey to accommodate its growth. Organisers plan more than 600 cultural activities and expect over half a million visitors, with affordable ticket prices and free transport links.

Ecuador is the invited country of honor, sending a delegation of authors, publishers and artists to strengthen cultural ties. The China International Book Trading Corporation also features a sizable Chinese literature pavilion, showcasing around 200 titles and a presentation by author Xu Zechen. High‑profile writers such as Jaime Bayly, Eduardo Sacheri, Agustina Bazterrica and Alfredo Bryce Echenique will appear, and the fair honors poet Blanca Varela on the centenary of her birth. Family‑focused events include children’s workshops, musical shows and Star‑Wars‑inspired activities during the July 27‑28 holiday program.

The fair aims to consolidate its status as a leading Latin‑American literary event while offering diverse programming for readers of all ages.
