Lima International Book Fair celebrates 30th anniversary at new venue

The Lima International Book Fair (FIL) will hold its 30th edition from 22 July to 6 August 2026, moving from its longtime location in Jesús María to the Centro de Exposiciones Jockey in Santiago de Surco. Organisers expect more than 400 000 visitors and over 600 cultural activities, including book presentations, workshops, children’s programs and live performances.

The fair will host 65 international guests such as Argentine writer Eduardo Sacheri and Japanese author Yusuke Imamura, while Ecuador serves as the invited country of honor with a delegation of writers, artists and a film showcase. President of the Peruvian Book Chamber Ricardo Muguerza said the move marks a “natural evolution” for the event. Free shuttle buses will run every ten minutes from Parque de la Amistad and Jockey Plaza to improve access. Ticket prices range from S/ 5.00 for students and disabled visitors to S/ 10.00 for general admission, with a special Fan FIL ticket at S/ 80.00.
