Lima International Book Fair features Carmen Plaza’s new book and Jaime Bayly’s reunion with Tongo’s daughter
At the Feria Internacional del Libro de Lima, Italian‑Peruvian writer, illustrator and artistic director Carmen Plaza launched her latest picture book, *Tú, yo. El arte de mirarse dentro*. The work, written by Italian author Gabriele Clima and illustrated by Plaza, explores identity, memory and self‑reflection. The presentation took place during the discussion "Mirar el mundo. Cinco años de Historias para Todos" organized by the Editorial Fund of Universidad César Vallejo on 27 July.
During the same fair, Peruvian columnist Jaime Bayly reunited with Cint G, the daughter of the late singer Tongo. Cint G waited from 1 p.m. to obtain Bayly’s autograph for her copy of *Los Golpistas*. The meeting turned emotional as Bayly recalled his long‑standing friendship with Tongo, addressed Cint G affectionately, and gave her a small gift before signing the book.
