Lima to undergo scheduled water and power outages in late May

The municipal water utility Sedapal will suspend water service in numerous districts of Lima on Wednesday, 20 May, as part of essential maintenance on storage facilities. Affected neighborhoods include parts of Cercado de Lima, Callao, and several urbanizations such as Juan Luis Cipriani, La Libertad, and Santa María. Sedapal will deploy water tankers to critical points and urges residents to conserve water before the interruption.

Separately, the private electricity provider Pluz Energía announced a series of planned blackouts for Lima and Callao from 21 May through 23 May. Specific time slots and districts will be published by the company, and customers are advised to prepare for temporary loss of electricity during the scheduled periods.
