Limburg Festival opens in Midden-Limburg

The Limburg Festival has commenced in Midden-Limburg, featuring approximately 50 performances including acrobatics, cabaret, dance, circus, music, and street theater. This year’s theme is ‘Ode to Women,’ focusing on empowerment and values such as care, tolerance, cooperation, and connection.

The festival utilizes various unique locations across several municipalities, including Roermond, Roerdalen, Wassenberg, Leudal, Nederweert, Weert, Maasgouw, Beesel, and Peel en Maas. Performances are held in settings ranging from castles and farms to the banks of the Maas river. Mayor Yolanda Hoogtanders officially opened the event in Swalmen.
