Limburg, Germany police seek witnesses after assault, firewood theft and door vandalism

The Limburg police in Hesse are investigating three separate incidents that occurred over the weekend of 3–12 July 2026. On the night of 12 July, a 21‑year‑old man returning from the local Kirmes was verbally confronted and then beaten by two unknown men in the Hintergasse of Dehrn. The attackers fled and police are asking for witnesses (call 06431/9140‑0).

Between 3 and 6 July, several metres of firewood valued at about €1,000 were stolen from a small garden on Werschauer Weg. The site is only partially fenced, suggesting the thieves used a vehicle to transport the wood. Police again request any information from the public.

On 11 July around 23:00, the glass pane of a front door on Leo‑Sternberg‑Straße in Limburg was smashed, leaving a cracked door. The perpetrator remains unknown, and the police are seeking tips at the same contact number.
