Lime launches e-bike sharing program in Victoria

Lime is officially launching its e-bike sharing program in Victoria, Canada, on August 21. This partnership between Lime Canada and the City of Victoria aims to provide residents with an affordable and sustainable transportation option.

Victoria will be among the first cities in Canada to utilize Lime’s newest e-bike model. These vehicles are designed for increased stability and accessibility, featuring wider 2.5-inch tires for better traction and a lower center of gravity to assist riders who may have difficulty pedaling for long periods.

The service will be available in several neighborhoods, including Downtown, James Bay, Hillside Quadra, Burnside, Victoria West, and North Park. To ensure orderly use, riders must park the bikes in designated physical parking zones, which are being installed throughout the service area. To celebrate the launch, Lime is hosting a community event in Vic West featuring helmet giveaways and information on safe riding practices.
