Limeira Women's Prosecutor Office Holds Self‑Care Lecture on Violence

On 2 June 2024, the Procuradoria Especial da Mulher da Câmara de Limeira, together with councilwoman Lu Bogo (PL) and the Escola Legislativa Paulo Freire, organized a public lecture titled “Saúde e Autocuidado, práticas de valorização da mulher e do bem‑estar familiar” at the Paróquia Santa Isabel de Portugal in Parque Hipólito, Limeira. The event featured Dr. Soraia Drago, who addressed physical, mental, emotional and psychological health, and explained the various forms of violence – physical, sexual, emotional, patrimonial and moral – urging attendees to recognize signs of abuse and seek assistance.

Local officials attended, including priest Edmilson José da Silva, first‑lady Luciana Félix and legislative president Everton Ferreira. The lecture aimed to disseminate information about the support channels available in Limeira for victims of domestic and family violence, promoting community awareness and encouraging proactive self‑care among both men and women.
