Limenka teatar fest to be held in Požarevac

The fifth Limenka teatar fest, an international theater festival for children, will take place in Požarevac from September 9 to 13. The event is notable for its unique integration of performing arts and environmental ecology.

Instead of purchasing tickets with money, attendees are required to bring five or more used beverage cans. These cans will be sent for recycling, and the proceeds from their sale will be used to establish a library in the children's department of the hospital in Požarevac.

The festival's repertoire includes nine plays from six countries: Bulgaria, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, and Serbia. Artistic director Valentina Pavličić selected the program, which aims to teach children and their families about environmental protection and recycling through a shared community experience.
