Limerick police launch murder probe after Brazilian woman found dead

An Garda Síochána has launched a murder investigation following the death of Jady Cristine Pereira Rosa, a Brazilian national in her 30s, at an apartment in Limerick, Ireland.

Ms. Pereira Rosa was discovered unresponsive at the Carlton House complex on Cecil Street on Friday morning after colleagues raised concerns regarding her absence from work. A post-mortem examination conducted by the State Pathologist confirmed she died a violent death, with reports indicating she had sustained injuries consistent with being stabbed.

Investigators have established an incident room at Henry Street Garda Station and the Garda Technical Bureau is conducting forensic examinations at the scene. Detectives are currently following a line of inquiry and have been conducting door-to-door inquiries and reviewing CCTV footage.

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy in Dublin, is monitoring the situation and maintaining contact with local authorities and the victim's family.
