Limón to host EXPOPYME 2026 to support Caribbean MSMEs

The EXPOPYME 2026 trade fair, titled “Raíces que impulsan oportunidades,” will take place in Limón from August 28 to August 31. Organized by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce (MEIC) and the Banco de Costa Rica (BCR), the event aims to support 35 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) from the Huetar Caribbean Region.

Held at the INCOFER facilities, the fair coincides with the celebration of Black Person and Afro-Costa Rican Culture Day. The event seeks to stimulate the local economy, create commercial links, and provide financial tools to entrepreneurs. The fair will operate daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In addition to the exhibition, a specialized session for female entrepreneurs will be held in coordination with the National Institute of Women (INAMU) and FODEMIPYME. This training session will offer technical guidance and information regarding financial instruments available through the Development Banking System (SBD) and business follow-up programs.
