Limpio resident repurchases home to prevent Senabico auction
In Limpio, Paraguay, a resident named Ninfa González was forced to repurchase her own home to prevent it from being auctioned by the National Secretariat for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets (Senabico).
González discovered through social media that her property was scheduled for auction. She reported that the house had been previously acquired through a real estate firm linked to urbanizations managed by the family of Ramón González Daher. To secure her home, she sought legal counsel and used family assistance to pay the minimum auction base of 70 million Guaraníes.
Other residents in the neighborhood have expressed similar distress, noting they have paid for land for years only to face potential loss of their homes. Affected individuals have expressed frustration with the justice system and have announced plans to protest.
