Lin Ben-yuan Garden light show wins three major international awards

The “Moonlight Love: Immortal Lin Garden” light projection show at the Lin Ben-yuan Garden in New Taipei City has received three major domestic and international awards. The honors include the Gold Award for Digital Installation Design at the 2025 Future Art & Design Award UK, the Gold Award for Experiential and Immersive Interactive Outdoor Events at the 2026 MUSE Creative Awards, and the Silver Award for Cultural Heritage Digital Media at the 2026 A+ Cultural Heritage Creative Awards.

Curated by the New Taipei City Cultural Affairs Bureau in collaboration with director Liu Yu-shu and the Light Point team, the show utilizes the historic Lin Ben-yuan Garden as a stage. It integrates the legend of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl with classical gardens, light projection, and performing arts to create an immersive nighttime experience.

New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih noted that the event is now in its seventh year and has become a representative cultural brand for the Fuzhong area. The city aims to continue using light, sound, and interactive media to revitalize cultural heritage and create a night-time art brand with international visibility.
