Lin Kuo-chang establishes labor support group for Yilan election

Lin Kuo-chang, a Democratic Progressive Party candidate for Yilan County Magistrate, officially established a labor support group to advocate for local workers. During the inauguration ceremony held at the Yilan County Council, Lin emphasized his background in a working-class family and his history of providing free legal aid to workers to protect their rights.

Lin’s platform includes several key proposals for the labor sector: providing an additional 3,000 TWD health checkup subsidy for workers on high-load shifts or night shifts, using public procurement scoring to encourage companies to raise wages, promoting AI vocational training for middle-aged and elderly workers, and constructing a dedicated labor activity center for education and training.

The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Minister of Labor Hung Shen-han and Minister without Portfolio Chen Chin-te, both of whom expressed support for Lin’s focus on labor needs and his practical approach to local governance.
