Lina Gervasi performs theremin at Dolce&Gabbana show in Taormina

Sicilian musician Lina Gervasi, noted for her theremin performances, opened the Dolce&Gabbana Alta Sartoria runway event on 14 July at the historic Teatro Antico di Taormina. The performance featured her original composition “Rising”, an ode to rebirth, and was accompanied by a guitar, a string quintet and four vocalists. Gervasi wore creations personally selected by designer Domenico Dolce and highlighted the emotional impact of bringing the contact‑less instrument to such an iconic venue, saying, “Portare il suono del theremin al Teatro Antico di Taormina è stato profondamente emozionante.” The show follows her earlier solo appearance at the opening ceremony of the Milano‑Cortina 2026 Paralympics in Verona, underscoring her growing presence at major cultural and fashion events.
