Linares meeting strengthens vocational training and business ties in Jaén

Authorities in Andalusia held a provincial meeting in Linares titled ‘Dinamizar la FP y Empresa: Innovando en Talento’ to strengthen cooperation between vocational training centers and the local business sector. The event brought together representatives from 53 educational centers in the province of Jaén, along with various companies, associations, and productive entities.

Florentino Santos, the Secretary General for Vocational Training and Permanent Education, emphasized the importance of the relationship between education and the productive sector, particularly following the universalization of Dual Vocational Training. This model aims to provide practical training adapted to the local environment to better prepare students for the labor market.

The meeting served as a platform to identify new cooperation opportunities and presented new calls for vocational training innovation projects. These initiatives focus on joint efforts between centers and companies in areas such as digitalization, knowledge transfer, and entrepreneurship. This event in Linares is part of a broader series of meetings taking place across different Andalusian provinces.
