Linares renovates Pabellón Julián Jiménez with LED and domotics

The Linares City Council has completed a comprehensive renovation of the Pabellón Julián Jiménez sports facility, representing a total investment exceeding 471,000 euros. The project focused on structural repairs and technological upgrades to improve efficiency and safety.

Key improvements include the complete replacement of the existing lighting system with LED technology integrated with domotic control and sectorization. The renovation also addressed long-standing issues with leaks and moisture by replacing 2,675 square meters of false ceilings and rock wool, as well as the exterior roof and old polycarbonate sheets, with sandwich-type panels to enhance thermal insulation.

Additional works involved treating humidity on the north wall, cleaning and restoring the stone wall, and updating the facility's corporate image. The intervention was prompted by an emergency following a ceiling collapse caused by years of water infiltration, aimed at ensuring the safety of athletes, users, and staff.
