Linas Kasčiūnas criticizes Lithuanian Finance Minister and budget planning

Linas Kasčiūnas, chairman of the TS-LKD, has expressed concerns regarding Finance Minister Tauras Valys, suggesting that the minister's performance could become a political burden for the Prime Minister and the government. Kasčiūnas noted that a lack of political experience might lead to the minister being sacrificed to stabilize the coalition, especially following local elections.

Furthermore, Kasčiūnas criticized the government's handling of the national budget, noting that the state is accumulating significant debt without a clear plan for mitigation. He warned that while the economy is currently growing, the government must model scenarios for potential economic downturns to ensure resources remain available for crisis stabilization.
