Linas Vaitkevičius raises over €100,000 for sick children in Plungė

Musician Linas Vaitkevičius, a member of the group ‘Žemaitukai’, held a charity concert in his hometown of Plungė on October 25. The event, held at the Plungė Sports Arena, successfully raised over €100,000 to support seriously ill children.

The concert featured a wide array of Lithuanian performers, including Justinas Jarutis, Paulina Paukštaitytė, Žilvinas Žvagulis, and Vaidas Baumila, among others. Host Mantas Stonkus compared the production quality and musical program to national music award ceremonies.

The event served as a tribute to Vaitkevičius’s late father, Gintautas, who passed away eight years ago. Tickets for the event sold out within a single day, despite technical difficulties caused by high demand.
