Lincoln Aviator SUV draws inspiration from brand's aviation history

The Lincoln Aviator SUV draws its name and design inspiration from the brand's historical connection to aviation. The company's founder, Henry Leland, originally established the firm to manufacture Liberty V12 aircraft engines for use during World War I. Later, under Edsel Ford, the company supported early commercial flights with the Ford Trimotor.

This aviation heritage is reflected in the Aviator's design through aerodynamic rooflines, a cockpit-style interior with aluminum finishes, and specialized musical alerts recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. In the Mexican market, the model features a 400-horsepower engine and intelligent suspension systems.
