Lincoln City defeats Blackpool 4-1 in Carabao Cup

Lincoln City secured a place in the third round of the Carabao Cup following a 4-1 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. Tanto Olaofe opened the scoring for Lincoln early in the first half, though Blackpool equalized through a Leighton Clarkson free kick before the break. Following a red card issued to Blackpool's Zac Ashworth, Lincoln City shifted to a more direct style of play. Goals from Tom Bayliss, Rob Street, and Callum Elder completed the scoring.

Lincoln City head coach Tom Shaw praised the team's tactical execution and confidence, noting that the side managed the game professionally after the dismissal. Shaw highlighted the importance of the debuts, stating the club had been patient with players integrating from different pre-seasons.
