Lincoln City sign Mikkel Ladefoged for club-record fee

Lincoln City has completed the signing of Danish forward Mikkel Ladefoged from Swedish club Västerås SK for a club-record fee. The transfer is valued at approximately £4.3 million (5 million euros).

Ladefoged, a 23-year-old striker, joins the Championship side on a five-year contract lasting until June 2031. During his 18-month tenure at Västerås SK, he recorded 19 goals and two assists in 27 appearances, contributing to the club's promotion to Allsvenskan.

The move sets a new incoming transfer record for Lincoln City, surpassing the previous mark set by the acquisition of Andrei Coubiș. It also represents a record sale for Västerås SK, exceeding the fee received for Victor Lindelöf over a decade ago.
