Linda Klimovicova eliminated from US Open qualifying

Polish tennis player Linda Klimovicova has been eliminated from the US Open 2026 qualifying tournament. After a strong start in the first round, where she defeated the higher-ranked Italian Lisa Pigato 6-3, 6-3, Klimovicova fell in the second round to Netherlands' Anouk Koevermans.

Klimovicova lost the match with a score of 3-6, 5-7. Despite leading 4-2 in the second set, she struggled with physical issues, including pain in her right ankle and arm, which required attention from a physiotherapist. The loss ends her pursuit of a spot in the main draw of the Grand Slam tournament.
