Linda Noskova defeats Gabriela Ruse at China Open

Linda Noskova, the sixth seed, advanced to the third round of the China Open in Beijing after defeating Romania's Gabriela Ruse in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. The match lasted one hour and 19 minutes on the central Diamond court.

In the first set, Ruse managed to recover from a 0-3 deficit to level the score at 4-4, but Noskova secured a crucial break to take the set. Noskova dominated the second set, quickly establishing a 5-0 lead and maintaining control until the end of the match.

Noskova is scheduled to face the winner of the match between Viktorija Golubic and Peyton Stearns in the next round. The tournament has also seen several high-profile withdrawals, including Sorana Cîrstea, Madison Keys, Emma Raducanu, and Jessica Pegula.
