Linda Rice wins five races at Saratoga
Trainer Linda Rice achieved a dominant performance at Saratoga on Saturday, winning five of the six races in which her entries competed. This successful afternoon brought her total to 21 wins for the current meet.
Rice's victories included Scramjet in the second race, Lady Rose in the fourth, Bite and Strike in the seventh, Calling Card in the eleventh, and Maximum Heat in the final race of the day. Jockey José Ortiz was also a prominent figure on the card, recording three wins.
Reflecting on the difficulty of the venue, Rice noted, “It's the toughest place in the world to win a race.”
