Linde reports record quarterly sales of $9.4 billion

Linde announced record quarterly sales of $9.4 billion during its third-quarter 2026 earnings call. Despite the revenue growth, the company reported a $425 million restructuring charge intended to address underperforming non-gas segments and align its cost base with current market conditions. This includes shifting its U.S. home care business, Lincare, into a different corporate reporting group and reducing headcount in low-growth regions.

To combat rising energy and distribution costs in North America, management has implemented targeted rate hikes for merchant and packaged gas customers. Additionally, the company reported a 15% surge in demand for industrial gases in electronics manufacturing, particularly across the Asia-Pacific and North American regions. Linde currently has approximately $2 billion in electronics-related projects under construction in the United States, Korea, and China.
