Lindenwood women's soccer defeats Evansville 3-1

Lindenwood University women's soccer secured a 3-1 road victory against the University of Evansville on Thursday night. Mackenzie Compton led the Lions with five points, recording two goals and one assist.

Lindenwood opened the scoring in the 11th minute via Compton. Although Evansville's Lily Kytasaari equalized in the 59th minute, Lindenwood responded with two quick goals in the 63rd and 64th minutes. Maddy Vasiloff scored the final goal for the Lions less than 30 seconds after Compton's second strike.

With this result, Lindenwood improves to a 2-3-0 record, while Evansville moves to 1-1-1 for the season. Lindenwood outshot Evansville 11-7 during the match.
