Lindsay Czarniak joins CBS Sports HQ as host

Lindsay Czarniak has joined CBS Sports HQ as a host. Her debut on the network was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 9.

Czarniak has an extensive background in sports media, having spent six years at ESPN where she co-hosted SportsCenter and became the first woman to host the Indianapolis 500 broadcast. Her previous experience also includes roles at Fox Sports, CNN, and NBC's USA Network, where she covered the Milan-Cortina Olympics. She also hosts the Investigation Discovery series "Game Day Murders."

NBC journalist and Czarniak's husband, Craig Melvin, announced the move on Instagram, expressing pride in her new role.
